Welcome to our article on DIY Frankincense Body Butter! Frankincense oil is known for its rejuvenating properties, making it a popular choice for skincare.

In this article, we’ll show you how to make your own DIY Frankincense Body Butter that’s perfect for all skin types. With just a few simple ingredients, you can transform your skin and achieve a healthy, glowing complexion.

So, let’s dive in and discover how to create this luxurious body butter at home!

Ingredients Needed

  • Soft cocoa butter. The hard cocoa butter will need different measurements for the ingredients. So for this product, ensure you use the soft cocoa butter.
  • Frankincense oil
  • Frankincense essential oil
  • Corn flour. Alternative: arrowroot powder
  • Vitamin E capsule
  • Optional: Essential oil for fragrance
  • Optional: Mica color powder

Notes on Ingredients

Choose high-quality ingredients to boost the effectiveness and safety of your DIY beauty products.

When an essential oil is included, I use either pure or diluted essential oils. If using pure essential oils, use up to 2% by weight. To use diluted essential oils, mix 1 gram (0.035 oz) of pure essential oil with 100 grams (3.5 oz) of sweet almond oil or jojoba oil.

If a recipe calls for fragrance oil, you can use diluted essential oil instead to benefit from both its scent and therapeutic effects. This provides a natural alternative to synthetic fragrance oils and offers additional benefits.

Tools Needed

  • Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Container

First, We Will Make The Frankincense Oil

You can buy the frankincense oil, or you can easily make your own; this way at least you ensure that you are using a high-quality oil:

  • Using a coffee grinder, grind one tablespoon of frankincense till it becomes powder
  • Add 100g of sweet almond oil
  • Store the container for 20 days in a cabinet. Shake the container every day or so.
  • Important: after 20 days, filter it thoroughly to remove any residue completely

Steps: DIY Frankincense Body Butter

1- Add 100 grams (3.53 oz) of soft cocoa butter to a bowl.

5- As an optional step, you can add a little mica color powder and mix. Choose a color that matches more or less the color of the frankincense, which is golden brown.

6- We have added in step 3 above the frankincense essential oil. It is concentrated and has all the powerful benefits of the frankincense plus it has its own scent, which is good enough for fragrance. However, if you prefer to add a more attractive scent to your liking, you can add 1-3 drops of your preferred essential oil and mix.

7- Squeeze the contents of a vitamin E capsule and mix.

8- Add a 1/2 teaspoon of corn flour and mix.

9- Put the DIY frankincense body butter into a glass container. Done!

Using DIY Frankincense Body Butter

To use the frankincense body butter, simply scoop a small amount onto your fingers and massage it into your skin, focusing on dry areas like elbows, knees, and heels. The body butter will melt upon contact with your skin, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated.

You can use it on your entire body, including your face (just be careful to avoid the eye area). For best results, use daily after showering or bathing to lock in moisture and keep your skin looking and feeling its best.

Enjoy the luxurious feel and invigorating scent of this all-natural body butter, and let it nourish your skin from head to toe!
