Are you looking for a natural solution to achieve longer and healthier hair? If so, you may want to make this DIY fenugreek and black seed serum, using two powerful ingredients – fenugreek seed and black seed.
Fenugreek seed has been used for centuries to promote long hair, while black seed is known for its nourishing properties that can strengthen hair and prevent breakage.
In this article, we’ll show you how to make a simple and effective DIY serum using these ingredients and provide some tips on how to use it to achieve the best results.
Ingredients Needed
- Fenugreek seeds
- Black seeds
- Sweet almond oil. You can also use olive oil
- Fenugreek seeds
- Black seeds
Tools Needed
- Mini blender
- Bowl or a container
- Glass jar for the serum final product
- Alcohol spray 70%
- Aluminum foil

Steps: DIY Fenugreek and Black Seed Serum
1- In a container, add 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seeds. Before we use the fenugreek, we must wash the seeds and remove any impurities. Then, ensure that they are dry.

2- Add 1 tablespoon of black seeds. No matter the quantity of the serum you are preparing, it is important to add both the fenugreek and black seeds in equal measures.

3- It is now time to blend the two together. Slowly pour the ingredients in the mini blender.
The idea is to grind the seeds partially only, just enough to break their hard shells and expose the oils inside. Make sure you don’t grind them to a powder.
When the oils in the seeds get exposed, then we can add the almond oil, and the seeds oils will mix effectively with it, bringing all their benefits to our hair.
- The seeds before partial grinding
- The seeds after a partial grind. The seeds are a bit wet because the oils have seeped out.
4- We will use a glass jar for the serum final product. Before we continue, we have to disinfect the jar. The way to do it is by washing it with soap and warm water, then drying it with a clean tissue, and finally spraying it with 70% medical alcohol.
After we have cleaned and sanitized the jar, we can safely store the serum in it.
5- Pour the partially-ground seeds into the jar and add the sweet almond oil over them. Add enough almond oil to fully cover the seeds by a good margin. Alternatively, you can just fill the jar fully.
6- Give the ingredients a mix so that they combine with the sweet almond oil.
- Pour the partially-ground seeds in the jar
- Mix well
7- Close the jar and wrap it with aluminum foil. Keep the covered jar in a closed cabinet for 20 days.
8- After 20 days, filter the serum twice or more to remove any trace of the seeds.
9- The DIY fenugreek and black seed serum is now ready to be used.
