Easy DIY Oil Perfume Recipe invites you to explore the many fascinating blends of fragrance oils in the world of homemade perfumes. Building on our previous articles about perfumes, this guide highlights the satisfying experience of experimenting with your favorite fragrances.

By combining the fragrance oils with jojoba oil and a touch of white musk, you can create a personalized scent that truly reflects your individual style.

Discover the joy of mixing and matching different fragrance oils to craft a custom perfume that is both captivating and long-lasting. This recipe provides an easy and rewarding way to design a scent that is all your own, offering both a creative outlet and a luxurious end product.

Ingredients Needed

Choose high-quality ingredients to boost the effectiveness and safety of your DIY beauty products.

  • Jojoba Oil: Base oil for the perfume.
  • Fragrance Oils (Regular): Choose 2 or 3 fragrance oils that you like to experiment with and create your desired scent.
  • White Musk: Fixative to enhance scent longevity with a soft, clean aroma.
  • Vitamin E, Optional

Tools Needed

  • Measuring cup with markings in steps of 1 and 10 milliliters (0.033 and 0.33 fluid ounces, respectively)
  • Small bowl
  • Plastic pipette (pipet)
  • Glass mixing rod
  • A perfume bottle with a cover that has a stick applicator. The stick is dipped into the perfume and then rubbed directly on the skin.

Prior to use, ensure that both your utensils and containers are properly cleaned and disinfected. Wash them with warm soapy water, dry with a tissue, and then sanitize by spraying with 70% medical alcohol. Wipe them clean and let them air dry before use.

Steps: Easy DIY Oil Perfume Recipe

1- Pour the Jojoba Oil: Begin by pouring 13 milliliters (0.44 fl oz) of jojoba carrier oil into a small bowl.

2- Add Fragrance Oils: Add a total of 20 milliliters (0.68 fl oz) of regular, non-concentrated fragrance oils to the jojoba oil. If using 2 fragrance oils, add 10 milliliters (0.34 fl oz) of each. If using 3 fragrance oils, add approximately 6.6 milliliters (0.23 fl oz) of each. Ensure the total amount of fragrance oils equals 20 milliliters (0.68 fl oz).

Note: If you want to make a larger quantity of perfume, maintain the same ratios. For example, if you double the amount of jojoba oil to 26 milliliters (0.88 fl oz), you will need a total of 40 milliliters (1.36 fl oz) of fragrance oils. If using 2 fragrance oils, add 20 milliliters (0.68 fl oz) of each.

5- Stir Again: Mix the ingredients thoroughly for another 2 minutes. The perfume oil should appear as a homogeneous liquid with no oil separation, as shown in the image below. If you notice separation, it may indicate that the fragrance oils used are not of good quality.

6- Optional Step: Add 3 drops of Vitamin E and mix well. Explanation: Without Vitamin E, the shelf life of the oil perfume is 8 months. Adding Vitamin E can extend its life to up to a year.

7-Transfer to Bottle: Transfer the mixture to a suitable perfume bottle. If the bottle’s opening is small, use the pipette to help with the transfer.
