Ingredients Needed

  • Glycerine soap, transparent and cut into pieces
  • Musk cube, grated. You need 3 grams (0.10 oz).
  • Coco betaine: This is a gentle ingredient derived from coconut oil, used to create a rich lather and effectively cleanse the skin in cosmetic products.
  • Musk fragrance oil
  • Saffron carrier oil
  • Mica color powders, white and gold

Choose high-quality ingredients to boost the effectiveness and safety of your DIY beauty products.

Tools Needed

  • Scale to weigh quantities
  • Knife to cut the glycerine soap into pieces
  • Grater to grate a small piece of the musk cube
  • Glass beaker
  • Glass mixing rod
  • Digital thermometer to check the temperature of the contents
  • Thin and clean painting brush
  • Silicone soap mold with flower design

Prior to use, ensure that both your utensils and containers are properly cleaned and disinfected. Wash them with warm soapy water, dry with a tissue, and then sanitize by spraying with 70% medical alcohol. Wipe them clean and let them air dry before use.

Steps: DIY Musk Soap Recipe

1- If you haven’t done so yet, cut the transparent glycerine soap into pieces.

2- Put 150 grams (5.29 oz) of glycerine soap pieces in a beaker.

5- Gently heat and melt the ingredients in a bain-marie (hot water bath). A bain-marie is made by placing the beaker in a larger pot of hot, steaming water. This will gradually heat and melt the contents. Make sure to stir while the mixture is melting. Avoid boiling.

Note: If the glycerine soap you are using is of high quality, once melted in the bain-marie, it remains easily manageable, maintaining a liquid state while working with it, until poured into the mold.
