- Ewax (emulsifying wax)
- Corn flour
- Fractionated coconut oil
- Essential oils
- Vitamin E
Tools Needed
- Scale to measure quantities
- Large bowl
- Electric mixer
- Glass mixing rod
- Glass jar or container to store the body butter
Prior to use, ensure that both your utensils and containers are properly cleaned and disinfected. Wash them with warm soapy water, dry with a tissue, and then sanitize by spraying with 70% medical alcohol. Wipe them clean and let them air dry before use.
Steps: DIY Beetroot Body Butter
1- Put 140 grams (4.93 oz) of shea butter in the bowl.

2- Add 5 grams (0.17 oz) of beeswax.

3- Add 10 grams (0.35 oz) of ewax.

4- Pour 40 grams (1.41 oz) of fractionated coconut oil in the bowl.

5- Now, we will melt the contents in a hot water bath (bain-marie). A hot water bath is done by placing the bowl in a larger pot of hot steaming water. This will gradually melt whatever is inside the bowl without causing it to burn. As the contents of the bowl melt, make sure to mix every now and then.
Note: Ensure that the beeswax and ewax granules have melted fully.

6- Let the contents cool off a bit and then place the bowl with its contents in the freezer for approximately 15 minutes. We want the mix to harden, not fully, but rather about 80%.

7- Use an electric mixer to whip up the contents till they become creamy.

8- Add 1 gram (0.035 oz) of beetroot powder.
9- Add your preferred essential oil. You can add up to 8 grams (0.28 oz) of the essential oil.
Add beetroot powder Add essential oil
10- With the glass mixing rod, mix manually to spread out the beetroot powder and essential oil, then use the electric mixer to achieve a thorough blending.
Mix manually Then use the electric mixer
11- Add 5 grams (0.17 oz) of corn flour.

12- Squeeze the contents of a vitamin E capsule in the mix.
13- Use the electric mixer to finish up with a thorough and uniform blend of the ingredients.
14- Your DIY Beetroot Body Butter is now ready. Scoop it into a glass container for storage.

Using DIY Beetroot Body Butter is a delightful and straightforward process. Follow these simple steps to make the most of your homemade creation:
- Cleanse: Begin by cleansing your skin thoroughly. Use a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or impurities, ensuring a clean canvas for the body butter.
- Prepare: Take a small amount of the beetroot body butter from the container and place it in the palm of your hand. Allow it to soften slightly by gently rubbing your hands together.
- Apply: Massage the softened body butter onto your skin using gentle, circular motions. Start with a small amount and gradually add more if needed, ensuring an even application.
- Focus on Dry Areas: Pay extra attention to areas prone to dryness, such as elbows, knees, and heels. Massage the body butter into these areas, allowing the rich ingredients to deeply moisturize and nourish your skin.
